The majority of the collection consists of student papers written between 1950-1964 as a requirement for course number E 404 "Report Writing" at New Bedford Institute of Technology (previously New Bedford Textile School and New Bedford Textile Institute). Subjects include textiles, engineering, and chemistry. Also includes early textile science projects by students of New Bedford Textile School and chemistry and business papers by students of Bradford Durfee College of Technology. There are a few papers by students of Sountheastern Massachusetts Technolgical Institute and Southeastern Massachusetts University.
